Princess Rani Vanouska Modely is the Founder of the Football World Heritage Organization, and the official ambassador delegate to lead the candidacy of Football as a world intangible heritage to be registered on UNESCO’s list. Football is much more than the most popular sport, it is a universal common language shared by 4.5 billion people on the planet. It, therefore, has its full place in the service of the objectives of the United Nations: education, culture, social inclusion, equality, environment and the development of the programs of nations united in the service of PEACE.
What is your ultimate dream for this initiative? I live my life as a mission, which I hope will be the realization of my dream. This dream is to give back to children the strength to believe in their own. I want to see their eyes filled with stars and hope, their legs running faster and faster on bigger and bigger fields and their hands coming to shake those of their partners and opponents. Soccer represents this dream, because it is in adversity that fraternity is born, in involvement that temperament is built and in sharing that benevolence is forged. This dream is in each one of us, we must revive it, build it, and liberate it.
“Football can change the world.” It’s a common language, activity, source of health and happiness. Why is that the mission of Football World Heritage? Because they truly believe that football can change the world. And Princess Rani Vanouska T. Modely believes that too.
