Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Anosh Ahmed is pleased to announce that he has selected three winners of his Academic Scholarship Campaign, Javier Sarmiento?, Ishita Aggarwal, and Taylyn Carrington. Each individual will receive $1,000 to put towards their post-secondary education. Dr. Anosh Ahmed is a practicing internal medicine physician based out of Chicago, Illinois. As an active member of his community, he has contributed to the re-development of various healthcare facilities in Chicago and Houston. While he has garnered extensive success in the medical field, he is also a thriving entrepreneur and business professional. Before completing medical school, he owned and operated various important/ export businesses, nightclubs, and restaurants. Taking care of your health is the most important thing you can do as you grow older, and it can help you prevent painful and dangerous health conditions and improve your quality of life. Anosh Ahmed believes that you should invest in yourself by taking part in preventative medical appointments and screenings. You should also talk to your doctor whenever you have a question or concern about your health. Too many people see their doctors but do not bring up ongoing health issues that they may be experiencing, meaning that their doctors cannot help them.

Dr. Anosh Ahmed is a practicing internal medicine physician and active member of his local community. Who has been a role model to you and why? I’ve held my father as a role model from a young age because of the fact that he worked day and night to provide for his family. I know it sounds like I should be saying Bill Gates or someone out there like that, but my dad is a real live example of someone that I’ve seen who can work hard all day and night. He became paralyzed from the waist down because of a disease. How do you maintain a solid work life balance? It’s definitely hard. My phone is never off the hook. As far as I am concerned, there’s no such thing as a decent work/life balance if you truly have the passion that I have for my work. Until now, I have not mastered how to balance myself and my work, and that’s one of the things that I’m currently working on.
